Currently located in Middle Tennessee, FUTURO, Inc. is a career-readiness leadership nonprofit organization that works to close the equity gaps in higher education. FUTURO officially incorporated in May 2015, after an incubation period under the Tennessee Latin American Chamber of Commerce in 2011. In 2022, FUTURO will celebrate its ten year anniversary.
Since FUTURO’s inception, we have set ourselves apart from other organizations on campus. We focus on building a professionally driven, strong community of leaders who are engaged and prepared for the workforce. Our greatest asset is our group of determined young professionals, our alumni, leaders, and community partners. Along with our partners, our goal is to create a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable workforce. The wealth of support from FUTURO alumni, professional mentors, and volunteers provides students with guidance, inspiration, as well as opportunities for job shadow, internships, mentorship, career growth, and professional development.
Our mission as an inclusive organization is to help prepare and cultivate opportunities for growth, professional development, and civic engagement within college students that aspire to be leaders in their communities and respective professions. FUTURO is focused on the Latino values of “familia.” FUTURO is Spanish for “future.” Through global corporate partnerships, local universities, and prevalent non-profit relationships, we foster opportunities for economic mobility while instilling a sense of community and resilience, impacting not only our students, but their campuses, communities, workplaces, and for generations to follow.
FUTURO helps our members uncover hidden rules to success as they chart their course from college to career. Our purpose is to build future business and civic leaders. Our passion is making a positive impact on our students and their future through hands-on mentoring, access to community leaders, and corporate opportunities.
An inclusive, college success professional development organization that creates opportunities for leadership, career growth, and civic engagement.
Our vision is for our members to graduate with a college degree in one hand and a job offer, business plan, or graduate school offer in the other.
